AI Act Compliance

The system developed in this project performs automatic classification of source code comments and, according to the EU AI Act 2024 risk taxonomy, can be classified as a minimal/limited risk system. It does not fall into the "high-risk" categories, which primarily concern areas such as healthcare, critical infrastructure, credit, employment, or law enforcement applications, nor into "unacceptable risk" ones. Consequently, the system is subject only to light obligations, mainly related to transparency regarding AI usage and proper documentation of its purposes and limitations, provided that a different use context (e.g., automatic worker performance evaluation or deployment in safety-critical systems) might require a formal risk level reassessment.
